Mark Becker

Founder and CEO

Originally aspiring to be a high school English teacher, Becker shifted gears and took his first job at the Miller Brewing Company before joining Romano Brothers, Beam Global, Young’s Market, and Sovereign Brands. He is most known for leading the successful sales and marketing campaign for Armand de Brignac AKA, Ace of Spades. This was one of the first times a champagne brand outside the traditional champagne houses broke into the mainstream, gaining notoriety among celebrities, including rapper Jay-Z.

 

The creation of Hibred Beverages, featuring 3 Tres (tequila), Devant (champagne), and Ku (sparkling wine) is very personal for Becker. The passing of a close friend with brain cancer inspired him to create something new. Sitting by his friend’s side in the hospital, he began drawing images of what is now the Devant label. Further into the development of Hibred, his love of tequila drew him to partner with the master female distiller, Stella Anguiano, to craft 3 Tres. 

 

Packaging is central to Hibred Beverage Inc., and Becker is the creative catalyst. 3 Tres features a patented design, offering stackable bottles. Devant showcases a “glow” label with an interactive light (battery-operated) capability in select bottles. 

 

Becker’s big vision for Hibred Beverages includes line extensions for Devant and the addition of other spirits to round out the portfolio.

Keli'i Heen

National Sales Manager & Director

Keli'i Heen (say “Kay’lee’eei”) was born and raised on the island of Oahu, Hawaii, and is a food and beverage devotee. 

 

Heen has extensive brand development and sales experience with spirit brands and distribution. Heen started his education in culinary school, working as a chef for high-net-worth individuals and on yachts for more than ten years. While working at Kuki’o Golf and Beach Club (a Discovery Land property), he was approached by Fine Wine Imports to work as a Fine Wine Sales Representative. He quickly became a self-taught wine aficionado and then worked as the General Sales Manager and Wine Specialist for Better Brands (now RNDC/Young’s Market) before being promoted to Vice President.

 

During his tenure in the wine industry and at Young’s Market, Heen met and became close friends with Hibred Founder and CEO, Mark Becker. Becker is known in the industry for launching disruptive beverage brands (Ace of Spades) and asked Heen to join the team. His respect for Becker as a business operator and friendship between the two for nearly two decades lured him to join the group.

 

Today, Heen serves as National Sales Manager and Director for Hibred Beverages. His accomplishments include helping to launch its three flagship beverage brands, 3 Tres (tequila), Devant (champagne) and Ku (sparkling wine). 

 

When not spending time with his family, he frequently travels between Hawaii and the mainland for business. He believes bringing people together through conversation and flavor is the key to happiness in life.
